Legal Aid Center is partnering with the courts, judiciary, and law enforcement to help seal criminal records for Southern Nevada because here in Nevada we believe in second chances!

Pre-Registration is required. You must be preregistered and approved by Legal Aid Center to be eligible to attend the event in June 2026.

- Get your SCOPE from all arresting agencies (instructions below).
Bring your SCOPE, ID, and proof of income during these times to East Las Vegas Library, 2851 E. Bonanza Rd., Las Vegas, NV 8910.
How to Get Your SCOPE
Part of the sealing process is locating all your records. Local police departments use a system called SCOPE, which stands for “Shared Computer Operations for Protection and Enforcement.”
Your SCOPE includes your history with each department, including arrests and criminal citations. The information from your SCOPE is reported to the State of Nevada, and as such, sealing your SCOPE is a critical part of the record sealing process.
Our Clean Slate team cannot access your SCOPE, so we ask that you obtain a SCOPE at the start of the process. This will help us locate the rest of your records, and the SCOPE itself will be sealed as part of the process.
Contact the police station(s) where your charges were incurred to request your SCOPE.

Effective October 1, 2017
** The clock begins after you are released from prison or jail, when you complete parole or probation, or when your case is closed. If you have gotten into trouble again since your original charges or have any OPEN criminal cases, you may not be able to get your records sealed immediately. All charges must be eligible to be sealed.
